Before you criticize your child's TEACHER
Consider this ....
· 'They probably have an empty stomach from giving up their lunch break today.
· *They are most likely exhausted from lying awake worrying about "that child" all night.
· *They have spent most of their weekend writing meaningful comments on student work.
· *They are constantly being scrutinised, questioned and judged by administration.
· *They are doing the best job they know how with the limited resources they have."
I chanced upon the above write up in one of the social media platforms. This is called hitting the bull's eye.
I totally second these thoughts:
I would like to express my views in this article.
Aashna is a grade 3 student. She needs to be monitored to complete her homework. Her parents are both busy with their jobs. Aasha often comes home with incomplete work and she over hears her parents putting the blame on her teachers.
Similar is the case with Ryan , a grade 5 student , who is used to hearing his mother talking over the phone and gossiping about his teachers with his classmates mother .
In contrast I have come across some very decent parents who are respectful and courteous towards their wards school authorities and teachers in particular.
It is a humble request to Parents to bear in mind:
A school teachers job is very different from a 9:00 to 5 office job
* It would be to their benefit if they guide their wards to respect their teachers and school staff
* It would really be commendable if parents instil values such as humility and modesty from an early age, best would be to lead by example .
* It would be a great idea to take time off and visit the school and meet the teachers by prior appointment.
* We as parents can be magnanimous and make it a point to send an appreciation letter or thankyou card .., something the teachers will cherish as a gift ..
We all love to be appreciated, don't we ?
Positive criticism is welcome ...Parents are free to give valuable inputs , useful tips and ideas to the school authorities and teachers’. Afterall parents and the school are partners in progress
Signing off until we meet again soon
